Here is an update regarding our testing in the past 2 weeks: Firstly, let us explain what it was about. As we explained in the previous post, we were looking for alternative ways to access Twitter's data w/o the API. This wasn't the optimal solution but we couldn't just sit around without the API keys. These methods included working with 3rd party data sellers and scraping data on our own. All of these alternative methods failed, mainly because they were unreliable enough (randomly crashing, inconsistent results, not fast enough etc). In addition, with the recent bans Twitter is doing, it can also permanently harm the project. Regarding the bans, BagBot is still working perfectly fine as you can see above. While most of the bots and tokens are shut down by twitter - BagBot is standing strong with 300 + customers! We thoroughly read the ToU and we designed our product with that in mind. This is why we have absolutely no fear of the recent purge Twitter has done. With regards to the API keys, we are still unable to purchase them. We are still trying multiple times per week but we still get the same "payment declined" issue. We are aware of the fact that some projects claim they managed to do it, but we haven't been able to and we are in contact with multiple other devs / projects that failed to do it as well. With all that said, we are still thinking of ways to solve this issue without violating Twitter's ToU, and we are also trying to contact Twitter. We always try to be transparent and we do not know how long this will take. It is ultimately up to every investor and supporter to decide for himself.
